
Dell Streak runs Android operating system, V1.6 upgraded up to V2.2. The screen orientation of Streak emphasizes its strength as a media player and web surfing device. Video playback of Dell Streak is best in landscape. Web browsing can work in both ways depending upon the text layout and e-book reading. Apart from the three capacitive buttons and a mic on the right, you can find four physical buttons along the top ridge-volume rocker, power and camera. The 3.5 mm head phone jack is right next to the volume key. There are other accessories like USB main adapter, USB cable and micro fiber pouch. Streak supports H.263/H.264, 3 GP, MPEG4 and WMV videos. Streak can also play MP4V-encoded 480 p and 720 p clips with out a hitch. The dimension of Streak is 152.9*79.1*10 mm and weight is up to 220 g.
There is a front facing VGA camera between the earpiece and proximity sensor. On the back of the Streak phone, you can see a five megapixel auto focus camera with its dual LED flash. You can also see a mono speaker which produces loud sound in less distortion as compare to other mobile phone. There is a “photo and video” app which is actually Arc Soft Mobile Media Gallery. Overall performance is pretty smooth. Another preloaded app is Quick Office and with the help of this you can view Microsoft Office Document. It also makes a great file browser and you can open other file types using their associated apps. The Streak’s battery life is impressive even the performance is good. Stand time of Streak is up to 400 h and talk time is up to 9 h 48 min. The internal memory of Streak is 16 GB. The memory of phonebooks and call records are practically unlimited.
